About

KIMBERLY ZUBILLAGA,BSW, MA, LMSW

Hello, I’m Kimberly.

I'm Kimberly Zubillaga, LMSW, and I founded Vera Vita Therapy to offer something different—therapy that goes beyond managing symptoms to uncovering what's truly happening beneath the surface and discovering what's genuinely possible for your life.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker practicing under the clinical supervision of Andrea Taylor, LSCSW, I bring both fresh dedication and the guidance of experienced clinical oversight to our work together. This means you receive attentive, individualized care informed by current best practices and the wisdom of a seasoned supervisor.

Instead of one-size-fits-all approaches or generic solutions, my practice is rooted in thoughtful conversation, attentive listening, and meaningful transformation. I will support you with care, ask insightful questions, offer gentle challenges when appropriate, and provide a safe space for the stories that need to be heard.

I know what transformation looks like because I'm committed to my own—through time outdoors, staying connected with loved ones, and continuous discernment and reflection. I'm here to support you in discovering and building yours.

At Vera Vita Wellness, I am dedicated to offering therapy that is tailored, respectful, and empowering—so you feel prepared and supported to take your next steps.

My Approach

I believe uncertainty, transition, and even struggle aren't problems just to be fixed—they're invitations to grow. My approach blends proven methods—like parts work, practical tools for shifting thoughts and habits, and narrative exploration of your life story—with techniques drawn from somatic and trauma-informed care. I tailor our work together to honor both your curiosity about what's happening and the reality of your lived experience.

We'll uncover the patterns that keep you spinning—old stories, stuck beliefs, hidden conflicts—and work with them until they lose their power. Along the way, you'll learn straightforward strategies and receive honest, compassionate feedback to help you see yourself clearly and stay grounded in times of uncertainty.

What makes this different is that I don't offer quick fixes or one-size-fits-all checklists. Instead, we dig into what's stirring beneath the surface—building self-understanding and resilience as you transform what's not helping you and make space for what comes next.

My Education

  • Bachelor of Social Work

  • Master of Arts in Personal, Moral, and Spiritual Development

My therapeutic values

01

Courage

It takes courage to speak honestly about your real life. In this space, you're invited to share your struggles, confusion, and what feels uncomfortable—because that truth-telling is often what creates the breakthrough. Your courage is met with safety and respect, and your bravery is always honored.

02

Authenticity

Authenticity asks us to come home to ourselves, even when it feels risky or unfamiliar. It's about recognizing and honoring all the layers that make you, you—and living in alignment with what's actually true for you. Together we'll explore what feels genuine and what feels borrowed. I'll walk alongside you as you find clarity and alignment.

03

Transformation

Change often feels complicated—it's longed for, but rarely simple. The paradox is that real transformation begins when you accept yourself as you are, without forcing or fixing. In that acceptance, something shifts. I'm here to support you, holding steady as you heal and move forward.
