Individual Therapy
THERAPY FOR REAL LIFE
We are not always masters of the unfolding of our lives, but we can always be masters of the meaning we give them. Our freedom can transform any event in our lives into an expression of love, surrender, trust, hope, and offering. — Jacques Philippe
True Conversations. Real Life.
At Vera Vita Wellness, individual therapy is like sacred space—a place where your story is honored, your struggles are met with compassion, and you can breathe out, knowing you don’t have to do this alone.
Therapy here isn’t about rushing to solutions or pretending to be someone you’re not. I blend modern science, ancient wisdom, and real-life, practical strategies to support your movement from feeling stuck to living again. We walk gently, at your pace, listening for what matters most to you.
The main ways I support clients:
01
Depression Support
For those navigating depression or overwhelm.
It’s easy to feel weighed down and isolated when low moods take over. In our work together, you’ll learn how to meet self-criticism with curiosity, discover practical tools for heavy days, and begin strengthening a sense of what’s real and steady inside you. We’ll explore new ways of responding—gently shifting patterns, growing hope, and helping you reconnect with what matters most, always on your terms.
02
Life Transitions Support
For people facing career changes, relationship shifts, parenthood, or other significant life changes.
Together, we'll help you find clarity about your values, navigate uncertainty with more confidence, and build resilience for whatever comes next. These turning points can feel both exhilarating and daunting—therapy offers you a safe place to honor the fear, hope, and possibility that rise together in transition. Here, you are invited to embrace the messy beauty of change, trusting that real growth unfolds when you show up honestly, just as you are.
03
Anxiety Support
For those feeling overwhelmed by worry, panic, or racing thoughts.
We'll work together to help you feel calmer and more in control. You'll gain tools to manage anxious feelings, break cycles of worry, and develop confidence in handling everyday challenges—so you can feel more like yourself again. Therapy is a space to notice what’s beneath the surface and untangle patterns that keep you stuck. You’re invited to show up with every feeling—knowing that relief, clarity, and renewed self-trust are possible, even if it takes time.
04
Grief & Loss Counseling
For anyone processing the death of a loved one, relationship endings, or other significant losses.
Loss is almost never simple—and sorrow arrives in its own time. Whether you’re grieving a loved one or releasing a former chapter, our sessions offer gentle presence, safety to process what you’re carrying, and an open invitation to explore new meaning as healing unfolds. There’s no rush here; you set the pace. Together, we honor memory, hold space for hope, and treat grief as a valid passage—not a problem to be solved.
What to Expect
Therapeutic support grounded in honest conversation.
What happens in therapy stays in therapy. Every conversation is confidential—your privacy and safety are foundational here. This is a space where you can bring your truest self, knowing your vulnerability is met with respect, gentleness, and absolute discretion. There are limited exceptions to confidentiality, including situations involving risk of harm to yourself or others, abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, or court-ordered disclosure—I'll discuss these with you in detail during our first session.
In each session, you set the pace. We'll begin wherever you are—no scripts, no pressure, only real conversations. Expect curiosity, grounded presence, an invitation to reflect, and the gentle belief that your story matters. Sometimes growth is quiet; sometimes it surprises us. Wherever you land, you'll have steady support and space to breathe.
I’m Kimberly, and I’m glad you're here.
Something brought you here. Maybe it's exhaustion with old patterns. Maybe it's curiosity about what could shift. Here, growth happens through honest conversations, gentle humor, and thoughtful challenge, always at a pace that honors your journey.
Healing doesn't follow someone else's timeline. It often surfaces in quiet moments—when you question a harsh inner dialogue or feel safe enough to voice what you've been carrying alone.
Together, we explore what's beneath the surface using methods that feel natural rather than forced. This space is for reflection, realness, and the full spectrum of what you bring.
FAQ
-
The length of your therapy journey is as unique as you are. Many people find meaningful progress within 3-6 months, while others benefit from 6 months to a year of sessions. Some choose to continue longer as new life chapters unfold or deeper growth becomes their focus.
Your timeline is entirely yours to shape. We'll regularly check in about your goals, celebrate your progress, and thoughtfully discuss what feels right for your continued growth. There's no pressure to stay longer than feels beneficial, and no rush to leave before you feel ready.
-
You can choose between 50-minute and 80-minute sessions for individual therapy. If your schedule calls for less frequent meetings, longer sessions can offer more space for deeper work. What matters most is creating a rhythm that genuinely fits your life—so we’ll talk together about a meeting plan in your first session, and revisit your needs and preferences as you grow. Your comfort and progress guide every step.
-
I invite you to meet weekly for the first two to three months—this is our time to build trust, get to know your story, and lay a foundation for meaningful growth. The connection we create together is at the heart of effective therapy, and nurturing that relationship is truly essential.
After those first months, we’ll check in together and explore whether shifting to bi-weekly sessions feels supportive for you. Your comfort, progress, and needs will always guide the path forward.
-
Your comfort matters deeply. Therapy is an investment in yourself, and you deserve a space where connection feels genuine. During our first sessions, I’ll regularly check in to see how you’re feeling about our work together—making sure our relationship feels supportive and aligned with what you need. Your sense of ease and trust are vital, and you’re always encouraged to share your experience as we build our foundation.

I blend several evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support my clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, psychoeducation, and somatic/trauma-informed techniques. If you’re curious about any specific method or want to know more, feel free to ask!
